Tarim is one of the purest cities to be found in today's chaotic world, bringing peace and serenity to one's heart and soul. It has a tradition of over 900 years of scholars and awliya (saints) living and teaching the true Prophetic way in every sense, ready to be passed onto those willing to take, attending these blessed 40 days, and carry it as shining lamps to those in the midst of darkness.
In a hadith related in Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet (pbuh) pointed towards Yemen and said; “Imaan is there.”
In another hadith related in Sahih Bukhari, Sayyiduna Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “The people of Yemen have come to you and they are extremely gentle and soft-hearted. Belief (iman) is that of the Yemenis and wisdom (hikma) is that of the Yemenis.”
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (ra) made three duas for Tarim; “Allah make plentiful it's water, and make it cultivated till the Day of Judgement, and may the Righteous blossom in its lands as plants blossom from water”
